What follows is a list of all the music that appeared in the standard version of Robotech episode 48: "Deja Vu." Bold text denotes that this is the first appearance of that piece of music.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: We have another piece of music that is definitely new but questionable if it's actually considered part of the musical score, when Bowie begins whistling. It's definitely not the same whistling originally used in Super Dimension Cavalry Southern Cross, so it's not a sound effect.
Dana claims Bowie is whistling a song he learned from Musica, but it isn't any of the "Cosmic Harp" themes or even "The Hive". However it does bear a passing resemblance to "Musica's Theme." In the 20th Anniversary Soundtrack liner notes composer Arlon Ober says that the tracks were originally named after characters and situations, and even specifically cites "...there was 'Musica,' which was a very interesting and bizarre piece." So since the script specifically called for a character to whistle a song from Musica, it's not beyond the realm of possibility that someone would have picked a track labeled "Musica" to listen to for inspiration on what to whistle.
Sadly Arlon Ober passed away in 2004, so we'll probably never know for sure. John Mortarotti was the one to actually edit the music into the episodes, so there's still a chance he might remember.
This episode also uses both the main and "Resolve" portions of "Alien Attack" back to back. This is the second time this has happened so far in the series.
